Responsible Livestock Farming Systems

Topic 2013

Responsible livestock farming systems involve social, environmental and economic aspects. The main question is often: what are the trade-offs between these aspects and how can we create a win-win-win situation?

The aim was to present state-of-the-art knowledge on the different aspects, and how this could best be integrated. The seminar showed policy-makers and politicians the expertise of the animal sector.

During the seminar, participants discussed the social, environmental and economic aspects and tried to find ways how these aspects could be integrated in sound business cases for responsible livestock farming.
