ATF-FEFAC-H2020 projects Stakeholder event
ATF organises each year at least 2 events on a dedicated topic, to foster knowledge exchange and engage a dialogue with a large panel of European stakeholders from the European agri-food systems (research providers, industry, farmers, policy makers, NGOs, European Technology Platforms, European initiatives…) around the role of livestock and the need to support a transition in livestock farming via R&I. In 2016 and 2019, making use of its wide network of European stakeholders, ATF supported the dissemination activities of EU-funded projects through the organisation of dissemination events targeting stakeholders.
In 2021, ATF has chosen to address the topic: “Going beyond the Feed vs Food competition: crops and animals together to address food and nutrition security” around 3 events:

Aims of the ATF-FEFAC-Horizon 2020 projects Stakeholder event
  • Disseminate project results, targeted to stakeholders;
  • Engage a dialogue with various stakeholders;
  • Address how research and innovation can support the livestock sector;
  • Provide input to European research and innovation agendas and to public policies to secure Europe’s role as a leading global provider of safe and healthy animal-derived products;
  • Support knowledge development and innovation;
  • Foster ownership by farmers and industries.
Format
Back-to-back to the ATF seminar in the morning. Both events are a follow-up of sessions #07 and #17 of the 2021 EAAP congress in Davos, Switzerland.
Physical (University Foundation, Brussels) and remote meeting.
