About

The Animal Science UK and Europe consortium is convened by BISAS to encourage collaboration between UK and European scientists in the field of animal science by:

  • Supporting UK membership of key Europe-wide organisations that provide a platform for scientific discourse and collaboration and advancing the opportunities for UK-based animal scientists.
  • Enabling UK-based animal scientists to attend meetings and conferences that provide opportunities for collaboration with European scientists.
  • Supporting the development of collaborative research and development projects that will provide sustainable livestock production for the public good.
  • Disseminating knowledge and information arising from European projects and collaborations.

Vision

Advancement of the sector to improve the understanding of all aspects of animal science through a collaborative UK and European approach, working to address climate change, global food security and One Health challenges.
