About
FEFAC, the European Compound Feed Manufacturers’ Federation, represents the interests at EU level of 21 national Associations in 21 EU Member States as well as Associations in Norway, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and UK with observer/associate member status. The European compound feed industry employs over 100,000 persons on app. 3,200 production sites often in rural areas, which offer few employment opportunities, and has an estimated turnover of € 55 billion. FEFAC was founded in 1959.
 
Vision
FEFAC encourages the sustainable development of livestock production through innovation in animal nutrition. It supports the development of precompetitive European feed-related Research & Developments projects which seek to enhance the competitiveness and resource efficiency of the EU feed & livestock sector and its integration in the circular economy as reported in the FEFAC Sustainability Charter 2030. FEFAC promotes animal nutrition solutions based on science and technology that can improve the sustainability performance of all livestock production systems
 
FEFAC in the Animal Task Force
With its membership to the Animal Task Force, FEFAC shares its expertise and knowledge of feed safety, good feeding practices and sustainability to contribute a better understanding at research institute level of the needs and challenges of feed chain operators.
